On April 22, with the removal of the diaphragm wall at the shield receiving portal of Keyuan Station, the right line of the Keshen section (Keyuan Station–Shenzhen University East Station) was successfully holed through. This marks the breakthrough of the 9th single-track tunnel of Shenzhen Metro Line 13.
The shield on the right line of the Keshen section was launched from the small-mileage end of Shenzhen University East Station, running along Keyuan Avenue and passing beneath Gaoxin South 9th Road, and was received at the large-mileage end of Keyuan Station. The tunnel is about 368 m long, with a burial depth of 17.1–19.0 m, a line spacing of 10.28–17.33 m, and a minimum horizontal clear distance between the left and right lines of about 4.08 m.
The Keshen section is the first section jointly built under the Line 13 project and the underground space development along Keyuan Avenue. The shield on the right line was officially launched on February 4, 2021, with construction continuing across the Spring Festival; it passed beneath the deep foundation pit of the underground space at close range twice and achieved holing-through in 77 days.
Metro Line 13 starts from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint in Nanshan District in the south and ends at Shangwu North Station in Bao'an District, with a total length of about 22.4 km.
