China's first cross-sea high-speed railway

　　Fujian is about to welcome the first high-speed railway in the province with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour -- the Fuzhou-Xiamen High-Speed Railway, connecting Fuzhou and Xiamen. After it opens to traffic, Fuzhou and Xiamen will achieve a "one-hour living circle".

　　This is also China's first high-speed railway crossing the ocean, and a key project of the national "Belt and Road" initiative.


　　The newly built Meizhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge is the most important part of the Fuzhou-Xiamen High-Speed Railway and also the most difficult and challenging project, because the geological conditions here are complex, the sea winds and waves are strong, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the construction is extremely difficult.

　　The construction of the Meizhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge on the Fuzhou-Xiamen High-Speed Railway uses XCMG XR360, XR400E and other medium and large tonnage rotary drilling rigs, which are large-scale rotary drilling rigs in the Fujian region.


　　The XCMG XR360 adopts a dedicated hydraulic telescopic crawler chassis, satisfying super stability, constant power optimal power output, and keeping the whole machine in the best working state; the XCMG XR400E adopts a double boom luffing mechanism and a dedicated H-type hydraulic telescopic crawler chassis for rotary drilling rigs, equipped with a large-diameter slewing support, achieving a win-win in stability and transportation convenience.


　　The geological conditions in the project area are complex, and the main strata belong to soil and mud, making drilling difficult. XCMG rotary drilling rigs are steadily constructing at a rate of three piles per day, with a pile diameter of 0.6m and a pile depth of 60m. The efficient and vigorous state of the equipment has given the project department a "reassurance" about the schedule.
