On the 2nd, major construction projects for the first quarter of 2021 in Tong'an District commenced in a concentrated manner, sounding the “call to forge ahead” for major construction projects. At present, with projects as the抓手 and the activities of “re-learning, re-research, and re-implementation” as an opportunity, the prosperous and beautiful new Tong'an is racing against time without letting down the spring light, ensuring the realization of a “good start” for first-quarter projects.

    It is reported that five major construction projects commenced in a concentrated manner in Tong'an District in the first quarter, with a total investment of about 3.47 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 720 million yuan. The projects cover resettlement housing construction, school construction, industrial projects, and others.

    The Meifeng Garden Resettlement Housing Project is located on the north side of the Xiamen Science and Technology Innovation Park in Xike Town, adjacent to Binhai West Avenue to the east. It is a supporting construction project of the Xiamen Science and Technology Innovation Park, used for resettling introduced technical talent and surrounding land-expropriated and relocated households. The project has a construction land area of 48,900 square meters, a total floor area of 208,400 square meters, a total investment of 1.11 billion yuan, and an annual planned investment of 20 million yuan.

    In addition, in order to promote balanced education and improve education quality, Tong'an District is committed to meeting the people's demand for high-quality educational resources. The major projects commenced this time include two school construction projects. Among them, the Tong'an Vocational and Technical School Expansion Project is located in Xiafeng Village, Wuxian Town, with a total land area of 91,600 square meters and a total floor area of 130,600 square meters. After completion, it can meet the demand for vocational and technical education places in Tong'an District. The Second Foreign Languages High School Campus Project is located in Xisheng Community, Xiangping Street, with a total land area of 67,100 square meters and a total floor area of about 80,000 square meters. A new 60-class high school will be built.

    The projects commenced this time also include two industrial projects: the Xiamen Modern Service Industry Base (Bingzhou Area) Unified Construction Area Plot II-3 Project and Plot II-4 Project. Both projects are located on the north side of Xizhou Road in Area 12-14 of Tong'an New City. Their total investments are 630 million yuan and 600 million yuan respectively, and their total floor areas are 137,600 square meters and 109,900 square meters respectively. The construction content includes buildings for the software information service industry, buildings for the software information service industry (maker space), and others.

    A relevant person in charge of the project construction unit, Xiamen Tefang Bay Investment Co., Ltd., introduced that the Xiamen Modern Service Industry Base (Bingzhou Area) Unified Construction Area Plot II-3 Project and Plot II-4 Project both belong to the third phase of the Xiamen Modern Service Industry Base (Bingzhou Area) Unified Construction Area Project. These two plot projects started construction at the end of last year, and the entire unified construction area project is expected to be completed in 2025. After the projects are completed, together with the northern Tong'an High-tech Industrial Base, the eastern Xiang'an High-tech Industrial Base, and the southern Meifeng Modern Service Industry Base, they will jointly form a new round of industrial clustering platform, provide public service supporting functions for the area, further optimize the area's business environment, and help the area's industries take off.
