At 5 AM on February 28, before the city traffic woke up, the steel structure bridge body of the Coastal Corridor Bridge project over the road section connecting Bao'an Stadium to the District Government (Yu'an 1st Road) was successfully joined and lifted into place. With this, the Coastal Corridor Bridge has completed the construction of the 5th of 6 cross-road sections, and the 1.5-kilometer-long corridor bridge has begun to take shape.

At 5 AM on February 28, before the city traffic woke up, the steel structure bridge body of the Coastal Corridor Bridge project over the road section connecting Bao'an Stadium to the District Government (Yu'an 1st Road) was successfully joined and lifted into place. This future popular bridge is scheduled to make a stunning debut in the second half of this year.

At 1 AM on February 28, at the construction site of the Coastal Corridor Bridge project on Yu'an 1st Road, engineers from China Construction Science and Industry were busy working. The reporter learned from the project department that the maximum span of the bridge body over this road section is 60.8 meters, and the steel structure bridge body weighs 105 tons (excluding the truss on the bridge). The construction of the bridge body was divided into two sections, with spans of 33 meters and 27 meters, and weights of 61 tons and 44 tons, respectively. The maximum width of the bridge body is 7 meters. According to reports, this cross-road section is the most difficult bridge body to construct in the project.

According to a person in charge of the China Construction Science and Industry Coastal Corridor Bridge project, the construction site environment for the steel structure bridge body over the road section connecting Bao'an Stadium to the District Government (Yu'an 1st Road) is complex, mainly reflected in: the bridge structure is a complex spatial irregular structure, and the construction area has extremely heavy traffic flow. "To ensure the overall aesthetics of the bridge, we used 150,000 spatial coordinate points to control the alignment of the bridge body," he told the reporter. To reduce the impact on traffic, the technical plan was adjusted and updated multiple times and subjected to two expert demonstrations before construction. The construction time was changed from the original 10 days of full road closure to 5 hours of temporary road closure, reducing the impact on citizens' travel.

The reporter learned that to ensure the progress of the project and do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, the China Construction Science and Industry Coastal Corridor Bridge project department retained about 120 workers before the Spring Festival, responding to the government's call to "celebrate the New Year in place" and stay in Shenzhen for the Spring Festival. Before the Spring Festival, all workers staying in Shenzhen were organized for nucleic acid testing, and a special management file was established for each person. The living area was under closed management, and measures such as daily temperature checks and insisting on wearing masks for all workers were implemented to ensure epidemic prevention and control measures are in place.

This bridge body over the Yu'an 1st Road section is the 5th bridge body to be joined and completed. Previously, the bridge bodies over the H2 plot connecting to the Marriott Hotel and Happy Harbor plot (Hailan Road), the EF cross-road section (Haixiu Road), the A3 cross-road section (Chuangye 1st Road), and the A1 cross-road section (Baoyuan South Road) have been completed.

The Coastal Corridor Bridge project is located in the core business district of Bao'an Central District. The corridor bridge is 1.5 kilometers long and connects Bao'an Stadium, the central district buildings, and the Coastal Culture Park. It aims to create an innovative urban composite space integrating ecology, sightseeing, services, art, and transportation. It is reported that the completion of this large-span bridge is a milestone. The completion of the project marks another major progress in the construction of the country's first slow-traffic system integrating underground, ground, and air, entering a new stage.
