On February 26, following the issuance of the launch order, the Ping'an (CRSH No. 004) earth pressure balance shield machine moved slowly forward and successfully launched at the underground utility tunnel project site in downtown Guangzhou.


　　This launch of the CRSH No. 004 shield machine marks its second participation in the construction of the underground utility tunnel in downtown Guangzhou. Last year, CST004 completed a 1,671-meter tunneling task in just one year, becoming the first shield machine to achieve breakthrough along the entire Guangzhou utility tunnel line, and received high praise and recognition from the client. The underground utility tunnel in downtown Guangzhou has a total length of about 48 kilometers. This time, CST004 (a 6,280 earth pressure balance shield machine) will be responsible for the 1,150-meter tunneling work of the 5#-Branch 1# section of the third division of the utility tunnel.


　　The underground utility tunnel is an indispensable part of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
