Recently, the feasibility study report for the G4218 Kangding-Xinduqiao Expressway was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

　　This has laid an important foundation for the project to carry out investor solicitation and commence construction as early as possible. The project has a total length of approximately 79 kilometers and an estimated total investment of approximately 16.5 billion yuan. The Ministry plans to allocate approximately 6.2 billion yuan in vehicle purchase tax funds, and construction is scheduled to start this year.

　　This project is an important section of the Sichuan-Tibet South Line Expressway. Its construction is of great significance for improving the layout of the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, improving regional transportation conditions, promoting regional economic and social development, and safeguarding ethnic unity and social stability.
