On the morning of February 23, the investment agreement signing ceremony for the Ruzhou-Fangcheng section project (Pingdingshan section) of the Jiaozuo-Tanghe Expressway was held at the office building of the Pingdingshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.

　　On February 19, the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the "Notice on Printing and Distributing the List of Key Construction Projects in Henan Province for 2021." Among them, the Ruzhou-Fangcheng section of the Jiaozuo-Tanghe Expressway is a project to commence construction in 2021.

　　It is understood that the Ruzhou-Fangcheng section of the Jiaozuo-Tanghe Expressway is among the first batch of segmented projects under the province's expressway "13445 Project," led by Henan Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd., with plans for point-style commencement by the end of March and full-scale construction by the end of June. Once completed, the project will be of great significance in improving the layout of Pingdingshan's expressway network, promoting high-quality economic and social development, and serving the construction of a new development pattern.

　　The project route starts at the south of Xiaotun Town in Ruzhou City, with its starting point intersecting the Ningluo Expressway, and runs south through 14 townships (towns) in 6 counties (cities, districts) including Ruzhou, Baofeng, Shilong District, Lushan, Yexian, and Fangcheng, ending at the north of Qinghe Township in Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, with a total length of 100.8 kilometers. Among them, the Pingdingshan section is 69.1 kilometers long, with an estimated investment of 8.77 billion yuan in the Pingdingshan area. Within Pingdingshan City, a total of 5 service-type interchange entrances and exits will be set up, along with 1 Lushandong service area.
