On January 27, according to China Railway 21st Bureau Group, the mainline bridge of the Tuanba hub interchange on the Hechuan—Bishan—Jiangjin Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the Hebi-Jin Expressway), one of the important interconnection channels of expressways in the main urban new area, was successfully erected, bringing the expressway one step closer to full opening to traffic.

　　The Tuanba hub interchange, with a total investment of about 200 million yuan, is mainly designed for vehicle transfer between the Hebi-Jin Expressway and the Yuxi Expressway. The interchange has a total of 8 ramps, 3 mainline bridges and 10 ramp bridges. Among them, the mainline is 1.82 kilometers long, adopting the standard of a two-way four-lane highway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour; the ramps total 4.8 kilometers in length, with a design speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

　　The Hebi-Jin Expressway is one of Chongqing's key transportation construction projects. The project starts in Hechuan District and ends in Jiangjin District, where it connects with the Jiangxi Expressway and the Jianghe Expressway, with a total length of about 94.87 kilometers. “Next, we will accelerate bridge deck paving, cast-in-place box girders and other works to ensure the accelerated construction of the Hebi-Jin Expressway,” said a relevant person in charge of the civil engineering Section 3 bid of the Hebi-Jin Expressway under the Fifth Company of China Railway 21st Bureau Group.

　　It is reported that the entire line is currently being accelerated. Up to now, the subgrade works of the Hebi-Jin Expressway have been completed by 58.5%, the bridge works by 42.6%, the culvert works by 87.1%, and the tunnel works by 97.7%. The pavement bid section has also entered the site.

　　According to reports, after the entire line is completed, driving from Bishan to Hechuan will avoid 35 kilometers of detours, and from Dingjia in Bishan to Diaojiia in Jiangjin will avoid 30 kilometers of detours. At that time, it will effectively connect multiple radial expressways such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway, Jiuyong Expressway, Yurong Expressway and Yuxi Expressway, greatly easing the traffic pressure on the ring expressway and driving high-quality economic and social development in the areas along the route.
