According to quick report statistics from the China Construction Machinery Association: in 2020, the operating revenue of key enterprises in the construction machinery industry was approximately 469.4 billion yuan, an increase of 29% over the previous year. It is expected that the total industry operating revenue will exceed 700 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of more than 10%. 6. Stage IV emission standards for non-road mobile machinery officially released
On December 28, 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment officially approved and released the "Technical Requirements for Pollutant Emission Control of Non-road Diesel Mobile Machinery" (released draft). The technical requirements state that from December 1, 2022, all non-road mobile machinery below 560 kW (including 560 kW) produced, imported, and sold, and the diesel engines installed on them, shall comply with the requirements of this standard; the implementation time of Stage IV for non-road mobile machinery above 560 kW and the diesel engines installed on them will be announced separately.
This standard is a supplement to the Stage IV content in GB 20891-2014 "Limits and Measurement Methods for Exhaust Pollutants from Diesel Engines of Non-road Mobile Machinery (China Stage III and IV)".
The introduction of the standard will help drive low-emission stage non-road equipment to gradually withdraw from the market, and is also expected to trigger an industry wave of new energy transformation in the construction machinery industry, with the aim of providing more abundant green construction solutions to the Chinese market, where urbanization is deepening.
7. Association election successfully completed, inheriting the mission and continuing to lead the industry towards healthy and sustainable development
On November 21, 2020, the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) held the first meeting of the sixth session of the member congress and the 18th China Construction Machinery Development High-level Forum in Changzhou, Jiangsu. On June 24, XCMG's mixed-ownership reform was officially listed and a capital increase announcement of tens of billions was released, marking that the XCMG mixed-ownership reform project, which has attracted much attention in the industry, entered a substantive stage; on September 22, the signing ceremony for strategic investors in the mixed-ownership reform of XCMG Group Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. Following XCMG, LiuGong also kicked off its mixed-ownership reform. On December 8, the "Signing Ceremony for Strategic Investors in the Mixed-Ownership Reform of LiuGong Group" was held in Nanning, Guangxi. LiuGong Group and 7 strategic investors reached a preliminary consensus on the mixed-ownership reform capital increase and equity transfer project and signed a basic strategic investment agreement.
9. Both import and export trade volumes decline, overseas epidemic suppresses recovery of China's construction machinery exports
Since the beginning of this year, affected by the outbreak of the overseas COVID-19 pandemic and its continued spread in some export destination countries, China's construction machinery product export sales have continued to come under pressure.
