Recently, according to the China Railway Guiyang Metro Line 3 Command, 19 shield tunneling machines have been lowered into shafts and the main structures of 14 stations have been completed on Guiyang Rail Transit Line 3, with more than 50% of the civil works completed across the entire line. It is expected that by the end of this year, more than 90% of the civil works will be completed, and all civil works will be finished in the first half of 2022.

According to the introduction, the Phase I project of Guiyang Rail Transit Line 3 is jointly invested and constructed by the China Railway consortium and Guiyang Rail Transit Group, with a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan. The line is 43.03 kilometers long and runs through four urban districts: Wudang, Yunyan, Nanming and Huaxi. Line 3 has 29 stations and 30 sections in total, including 20 shield tunneling sections, and 22 shield tunneling machines are planned to be deployed. The project officially started construction on December 30, 2018.
