　　Brief Introduction to the Hose Reel Guidance System, Mud Pipes, and Slag Cleaning Pipes of Double-Wheel Trench Cutters

　　The hose reel guidance system is one of the main components of a double-wheel trench cutter. Taking Bauer as an example, its double-wheel trench cutter hose reel guidance systems are generally divided into three categories: 1. Suspended pipe system (HTS), which lowers the mud pipe and hydraulic hoses into the trench through guide wheels; 2. Hose reel system (HDS), in which the mud pipe and hydraulic oil pipes are wound on two large hydraulically driven winches to reduce mast height and the host machine's weight class, with the trenching system capable of reaching depths of 250 m; 3. Synchronous hose reel system (HSS), used when the trench cutter is mounted on a BG drilling rig.

　　The mud pipe's role is to discharge the mixture of rock fragments cut by the double-wheel cutter and mud from the trench. Because it must withstand long-term testing under harsh working conditions, the manufacturing technology for mud pipes was previously mastered by only a few internationally renowned industrial hose manufacturers.

　　Shenhai Rubber & Plastic began organizing technical resources around 2010 to develop mud pipes for double-wheel trench cutters. It has now successfully developed mud pipe systems adapted to different manufacturers, different hose reel systems, and different machine models, and these have been relatively widely applied in the industry.
