据悉，大安寨综合交通枢纽工程是自贡新老城区的重要交通枢纽，起点位于大高路与站台路Y型交叉口，终点位于东城北二路上跨内昆铁路桥桥头。
据了解，项目路线全长1933米。其中，连接线道路长约1003米，大安寨隧道长930米，隧道为双洞设计，按照双向六车道+人行道慢行系统标准建设。隧道净宽13.75米，行车道净高5米，隧道设计速度每小时40公里，建设内容包括道路、隧道、通风、排水、照明、绿化、监控及防灾等工程。
据介绍，项目于2017年9月开工，2019年12月31日竣工，2021年1月5日通过验收。该工程的建成通车将促进城市拓展，成为疏解大安老城至东部新城起步区的便捷通道，完善恐龙馆、大山铺、大安老街、燊海井、城市绿心、卧龙湖的旅游线路，避免多条旅游线路在旧城交汇，缓解旧城交通压力。
