Since construction of the East Gate Interchange began in mid-September last year, the municipal department has been stepping up construction. At present, the area inside the enclosure at the roundabout outside the East Gate has been excavated, forming a foundation pit about 50 meters long, about 7 meters deep and about 15 meters wide, which will be used to build the box culvert section of the underpass interchange. To ensure the safety of construction and vehicle traffic, the municipal department has installed retaining piles in the foundation pit to increase its stability. In this regard, the municipal department reminds residents, especially vehicles traveling east-west, to stay away from the enclosure. The Beilin Traffic Police Brigade also reminded on Weibo that vehicles passing near the enclosure at the east entrance of the East Gate, especially large and heavy vehicles, should stay away from the enclosure.
