7月6日，记者在益阳市第一座自锚式悬索桥——青龙洲大桥施工现场看到，经过大桥工程技术人员20天的努力，大桥56股主缆已全部架设完成，为大桥年底顺利通车奠定了坚实的基础。
青龙洲大桥是益阳市“十三五”规划期间重大基础设施项目，为资江风貌带及城市西环线项目关键控制性工程。大桥全长1636米，桥宽36.5米，双向6车道，设计时速80千米/小时，大桥横跨资江两岸，索塔采用双柱式框架结构，主缆工程于6月中旬开始首股索缆的架设，前后历时20天完成架设。大桥建成后，将成为跨越资江两岸、沟通益阳南北的便捷主干交通快线，对完善益阳市城市路网，改善两岸交通，缓解城市过江通行压力，加速资江南岸的发展有着十分重要的意义。
