On June 30, it was learned from the Project Headquarters of Section 1 of the Shanhai Expressway that the last 30-meter prestressed concrete box girder of the Shenweng Bridge on the Shanhai Expressway was recently installed, marking the dual-span completion of another major bridge on the expressway.

　　It is understood that the Shenweng Bridge is located in Shiyang Village, Wuzhishan City. Both the left and right lines of the bridge are 336.4 meters long. The substructure of the bridge adopts cylindrical piers with circular pile foundations, and the abutments adopt pile-column abutments with pile foundations. The superstructure adopts 30-meter prestressed concrete box girders with a simply supported then structurally continuous system, with a total of 88 box girders for the entire bridge. The Shenweng Bridge has high construction process requirements. Since the erection of the first box girder, the project department has promptly held safety training meetings for high-altitude operations, formulated special construction plans, and conducted comprehensive safety technical briefings for on-site management personnel and construction workers; organized technical personnel and construction teams to repeatedly demonstrate the girder erection plan, coordinated the allocation of mechanical equipment, and controlled the process well, successfully achieving the dual-span completion of the Shenweng Bridge.

　　At present, the two tunnels of the Section 1 project of the Shanhai Expressway, Shenweng and Changhao, have all been completed, and two of the four major bridges, the Fandao Bridge and the Shenweng Bridge, have also achieved dual-span completion. In addition, the reporter learned that the earthwork and stonework construction of the subgrade of Section 1 of the Shanhai Expressway has been completed by 99%, the pile foundation construction has been completed by 100%, the box girder prefabrication has been completed by 90%, and the construction progress of the entire project has reached 93.4%.
