记者从菏泽市发改委了解到，截至7月31日，菏泽火车站改造工程累计完成投资11600万元。目前，菏泽火车站旧站房已拆除,建筑垃圾也全部清除，新建并完成了800平方米的临时候车室。
走进站内，首先映入眼帘的一排高大钢结构是进站天桥。天桥建设位置正对出站口，将出站口与站台链接，建成后站台宽度为12米。
记者看到，四个站台的天桥基础施工已经完成，天桥主体及出站通道正在建设，新站房工程已经定位、放线。三、四站台的高站台墙也已完工，目前正在封闭改造，并开始基础工程施工。
