7月28日，盘锦市兴隆台区大众医院北侧一工地内，正在施工中的一辆挖掘机底部突然蹿出火苗，由于报警及时，没有造成更大的损失。
消防部门分析，起火原因很可能因挖掘机线路老化，加上户外高温烘烤，造成车辆底部起火。
盘锦市消防支队相关人员提醒，夏季不要在车内放置打火机，风挡位置不要放置老花镜、放大镜、汽油桶等物品，车辆不要停放在有柴草的地方，防止高温烘烤造成起火。
