１７时５０分，消防官兵赶到事故现场，经询问得知，基坑是高架桥桥墩基础，由于下雨汇集了６余米深的水且水下淤泥较深，溺水少年不小心失足掉进水坑里。根据现场情况，指挥员立即协调当地工地联系挖掘机到场排水协助救援。在消防官兵和当地群众的共同努力下，１８时４７分，溺水少年被成功打捞上岸。
目前，善后工作正在有序推进中。
