At present, the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic is at a critical stage. As a large comprehensive construction enterprise group with construction projects across the country and more than 8,000 employees, China Railway Beijing Engineering Group attaches great importance to the situation, actively responds to the central government's arrangements, makes every effort to carry out epidemic prevention and control, actively fulfills its responsibilities as a central state-owned enterprise, and demonstrates its original aspiration and mission in the face of the epidemic.

After the Party Committee of China Railway Beijing Engineering Group made specific arrangements for epidemic prevention and control on January 22, it issued urgent notices successively on January 27, 29, and 31, established a leading group for epidemic prevention and control, and set up five special working groups under it: the comprehensive guidance group, the production and operation command group, the publicity and public opinion group, the logistics support group, and the headquarters prevention and control group, treating epidemic prevention and control as the most important task at present. The main leaders of the group and its subordinate units reported to work in person, strictly implemented the dual duty system of "Spring Festival holiday" and "epidemic prevention and control," and the leaders on duty and duty personnel maintained smooth information flow and close monitoring 24 hours a day, earnestly implementing the "zero report" system.

On February 1, the group's Party Committee held a special meeting to earnestly study the spirit of the latest decision-making and deployment meetings of the CPC Central Committee and China Railway Group on epidemic prevention and control, conducted further research and redeployment on the group's epidemic prevention and control work, and unswervingly implemented the various decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the China Railway Party Committee. It issued the "Notice on Delaying the Return of Headquarters Employees to Work," requiring personnel returning to Beijing to strictly undergo home quarantine observation in accordance with relevant requirements and to return to work only after showing no symptoms. The headquarters organ actively carried out disinfection and epidemic prevention, separate dining in the employee cafeteria, and other work to prepare for employees' return to work. Before the epidemic is lifted, the entire group will not hold large meetings or activities, and will hold as few meetings as possible, short meetings, small meetings, and video conferences. It implemented the specific arrangements of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and China Railway for on-site resumption of work and epidemic prevention and control. The Engineering Management Center uniformly purchased masks, disinfectants, and other epidemic prevention materials for all project departments, strengthened daily epidemic management on site, and ensured safe production. The Publicity Department of the group's Party Committee used the WeChat platform to promptly release the central government's and the enterprise's decisions and deployments on epidemic prevention and control as well as scientific knowledge on epidemic prevention and control, enabling employees and the public to understand public opinion trends and become familiar with prevention knowledge. It educated and guided Party members and employees not to start rumors, believe rumors, or spread rumors, and worked hard to gather strong positive energy for unity and overcoming difficulties together.

The group's subordinate units took active action. While actively carrying out their own epidemic prevention and control, they vigorously supported local governments' epidemic prevention and control work. More than 800 employees of the First Company spontaneously donated more than 76,000 yuan, and the Bangladesh Railway Project Department donated 13,000 yuan to the "Novel Coronavirus Prevention and Control Special Fund" of the Wuhan Charity Federation to support the people of Wuhan in fighting the epidemic. The Urban Rail Company, the Zhonglan Railway Project Department, the Shangqiu Project Department, the Central China Command, and other units also successively provided masks, medical alcohol, 84 disinfectant, and other scarce materials to local governments, owner units, and the Wuhan epidemic area, making modest contributions to the fight against the epidemic.
