厦门地铁6号线林埭西至华侨大学段于12月31日开工建设。
厦门地铁6号线(林埭西至华侨大学段)工程起自海沧林埭西，沿东孚西路、东孚南路、杏林西路、杏林北路、杏林湾路、集美大道敷设，止于华侨大学站，全长18.8公里，设13座地下车站(其中3座地铁换乘站)。
据了解，地铁6号线(林埭西至华侨大学段)工程车站平均站间距1.501公里。其中，最大站间距2.357公里，为马銮中心站至集美岛站;最小站间距0.801公里，为杏滨站至内茂站。于官任站设6号线与1号线联络线1处，联络线长0.338公里。
该项目计划开工日期：2019年12月31日，计划竣工日期：2023年8月31日。
据悉，地铁6号线车辆采用B型车，直流1500伏架空接触网供电方式，最高运营时速80公里。初、近、远期均采用6辆编组(4动2拖)，初期配车18列108辆。总投资估算为135.19亿元。
