On December 28, the "Technological Innovation · Industrial Integration" — 2019 Geotechnical Engineering Science and Technology Innovation Development Forum and Municipal Construction Industry Association Annual Meeting was held in Nanchang. The event was hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Municipal Construction Industry Branch, Nanchang Municipal Construction Industry Association, and Nanchang Construction Industry Association, undertaken by Jiangxi Zhongheng Underground Space Technology Co., Ltd., and strongly supported by Zhongheng Construction Group Co., Ltd., Nanchang University, East China Jiaotong University, East China University of Technology, Jiangxi Foundation Engineering Association, Jiangxi Jiechang Underground Space Development and Utilization Co., Ltd., Jianhua Building Materials (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Jiye Technology Co., Ltd., and other units.

　　More than 460 people attended the forum, including specially invited domestic experts, provincial and municipal leaders, members of the provincial foundation engineering drafting group, provincial and municipal design institutes, universities, quality inspection and safety supervision departments, finance bureaus, science and technology bureaus, civil air defense, real estate, finance, media, Xiaolan Development Zone, the Federation of Trade Unions, leaders and member unit representatives of the Provincial Municipal Construction Industry Association and Nanchang Construction Industry Association.


　　The forum aimed to promote the development and utilization of underground space and to showcase and exchange municipal geotechnical science and technology achievements. It was divided into a morning summit forum and an afternoon thematic forum, both packed with valuable content. Nie Jili, President of the Jiangxi Provincial Municipal Construction Industry Branch, Nanchang Municipal Construction Industry Association, and Nanchang Construction Industry Association, and Chairman of the Board of Zhongheng Construction Holding Group, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers; Zou Mingquan, former Party member and discipline inspection team leader of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, former inspector at the departmental level, and current Chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Urban Construction Management Association, delivered a speech on behalf of industry leaders; Liu Jianwen, General Manager of Jiangxi Zhongheng Underground Space Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the organizer.


　　Under the interactive hosting of Xu Changjie, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Vice President of East China Jiaotong University, and Qian Yong, expert receiving special government allowance from the State Council and former Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Construction Engineering Safety and Quality Supervision Administration, the following keynote speeches were delivered: Qian Lihang, Chief Engineer and Researcher of the Housing Center of the China Academy of Building Research, on "Corrosion and Durability of Pile Foundations"; Ye Guanbao, Vice Chairman of the National Academic Committee on Ground Improvement, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Tongji University, on "Development and Research of Composite Pile Technology"; Zhou Tonghe, Professor-level Senior Engineer, Registered Civil Engineer, and Graduate Supervisor at Zhengzhou University, on "Research Progress and Standard Compilation of Root-Embedded Piles and Belled Piles"; and Liu Xiaomin, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Chief Engineer of Shenzhen Survey and Research Co., Ltd., on "Research on the Impact of Underground Space Development on Urban Geological Environment". Liang Haian, Associate Professor at East China University of Technology, Director of the Experimental Teaching Center, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Society, Xu Lihua, Executive Director of the Design Institute of Zhongheng Construction Group, and Wu Danlei of Jiangxi Zhongheng Underground Space Technology Co., Ltd. each presented research reports at the Science and Technology Innovation Forum.


　　During the thematic forum session, chaired by Xu Shengcai, Professor-level Senior Engineer and Technical Consultant of Zhongheng Construction Group, the following speakers gave excellent thematic presentations: Zheng Mingxin, Professor at the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, East China Jiaotong University; Hou Weisheng, Chairman of Jianhua Building Materials (Jiangxi) Co., Ltd.; Han Shangyu, Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Nanchang Hangkong University; Fu Yuying, Deputy Chief Engineer of Jiangxi Jiye Technology Co., Ltd.; and Cao Kaiwei, Chief Engineer of Jiangxi Zhongheng Underground Space Technology Co., Ltd.


　　During the forum exchange, Liu Xiangang, Chairman of Jiye Technology, shared some of his thoughts. He hoped that through this forum, cooperation and exchange between parties would be strengthened, resources in design, structure, drawing review, and survey would be fully integrated, and scientific research results would be combined with practical applications to achieve a 1+1>2 or even 1+1=11 effect, enabling rapid transformation of scientific research results.

　　Through the one-day forum, experts and leaders fully affirmed the development of Jiangxi's geotechnical engineering industry and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions. After the meeting, participating experts took a group photo to capture the wonderful moment.
