The main responsibilities of the office are to strengthen local quality and safety supervision, prevent safety hazards, regularly conduct lectures on safety production knowledge, and supervise and manage the engineering machinery industry; establish an engineering machinery database to solve problems such as difficulty in identifying ownership of engineering machinery equipment, difficulty in obtaining insurance, and difficulty in machinery support; establish a training center to improve the quality of practitioners, and issue qualification certificates upon passing examinations after training; standardize the rules and regulations of the engineering machinery industry; provide emergency rescue at disaster sites to reduce casualties and material losses; and provide reliable data for national economic census statistics.

　　The establishment of the Engineering Machinery Management Office will help promote the standardized and orderly development of the engineering machinery industry in Benxi City, protect the legitimate rights and interests of engineering machinery consumers, and also serve as a bridge and link for communication between the government and the engineering machinery industry, providing authentic and reliable scientific data for the government to formulate relevant policies.

　　It is reported that the Benxi City Engineering Machinery Management Office will soon carry out work throughout the city, including engineering machinery quality supervision, census registration and numbering, license plate issuance, and training and assessment of operators.
