On July 5, the Phase I roof slab concrete pouring for Zhongcaosi Station of the civil works Section 1 of the Phase I project of Guiyang Rail Transit Line 3, constructed by China Railway No.2 Engineering Group, was successfully completed.
Zhongcaosi Station is the largest of the 29 stations in Phase I of Line 3, with a total length of 478.8 meters and a standard section width of 21.3 meters. It is a two-level underground station with a 14-meter island platform, and part of it has a three-level structure. The full covered cut-and-cover top-down construction method is adopted. To coordinate with the Huaxi Avenue upgrading and reconstruction project, the roof slab of Zhongcaosi Station is constructed in sections on the east and west sides (Phase I and Phase II).
Since the project started, with the support of higher-level relevant departments, issues such as traffic diversion, pipeline relocation, and land acquisition and demolition have been resolved. The project staff worked in sunny weather and fought through rainy days. From earthwork excavation, membrane laying, embedded part installation, waterproofing construction, rebar tying, and formwork installation to concrete pouring, they strengthened construction process control, strictly checked technical indicators, and promptly solved problems arising during construction, ensuring that the Phase I roof slab of Zhongcaosi Station achieved the milestone schedule goal with high quality, safety, and efficiency.
As of early July, Zhongcaosi Station has completed 526 retaining piles, 55 lattice columns, 77 steel pipe columns, 30,000 cubic meters of earthwork excavation, and 6,578 square meters of roof slab. It has now fully shifted to Phase II construction.
