At around 9 a.m. on June 21, 2019, the Changjiang Road overpass project crossing the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, which had drawn much attention from Shangqiu residents, was completed and opened to traffic smoothly, marking the full opening of the Changjiang Road main trunk road in Shangqiu.

The Changjiang Road overpass crossing the Beijing-Kowloon Railway is an important component and key control project of the Shangqiu-Yucheng express corridor. With a total length of 1,150 meters, it is an urban main road with six lanes in both directions. It was constructed by the Tonghao (Zhengzhou) Electrification Bureau.

The Changjiang Road bridge project crossing the Beijing-Kowloon Railway is an important infrastructure and livelihood project in Shangqiu. During construction, it received strong support and understanding from all sectors of society and the general public. To ensure the early opening of the project, the Shangqiu Changjiang Road project department overcame unfavorable factors such as major external interference, long transport distances for girder erection, large spans for girder erection, and steep gradients for girder erection. All participating personnel worked together as one, pooled their efforts, and went all out to successfully complete the bridge construction task, making a positive contribution to the local economic development.
