On June 19, Shenzhen Metro Construction Group held a key node acceptance meeting before the track area handover of Yangtaishan Tunnel at Shenzhen Metro Line 6 of CRCC South. The acceptance team and attending experts unanimously agreed that the left line of the tunnel meets the track area handover standards and conditions, and agreed to the handover. At this point, the construction of the left line of the tunnel was officially handed over to the track-laying unit, laying the foundation for track laying across the entire line and the trial operation of the line.

Yangtaishan Tunnel, constructed by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group under the Second Work Area, is located between Dalang Station and Shiyan Station. The left line has a total length of 3,300 meters, including a 425-meter open-cut section, a 2,235-meter TBM section, and a 600-meter mining method section. Yangtaishan Tunnel is a controlling project of Shenzhen Metro Line 6 and must overcome four challenges: “long tunnel with multiple construction methods, poor geological conditions, underpassing building clusters, and extensive land acquisition and demolition.” The tunnel passes through two geological fault zones and granite residual soil layers, with complex geological conditions and rock strength reaching up to 210 MPa; underpassing structures such as the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, highway tunnels, high-pressure gas pipelines, expressways, and residential areas poses high construction risks; the tunnel portal and shaft entrance are located within an industrial zone, requiring the demolition of various factory buildings, illegal structures, residences, and schools totaling about 50,000 square meters.

The construction of Yangtaishan Tunnel involves many unforeseeable factors and high risk coefficients. Management personnel conduct daily pre-shift briefings and post-shift summaries on safety production, and address existing problems in a checklist-based manner with assigned personnel and deadlines. To ensure quality control during the construction of Yangtaishan Tunnel, the project department established quality control and mechanical equipment control teams to track all aspects of construction. The project department strictly controlled operations, starting from details such as TBM attitude, slag sample identification, equipment operation, segment assembly control, and settlement of ground surfaces and structures, keeping every link in good condition, overcoming various construction difficulties such as long-distance reverse-slope drainage, fractured zones, and underpassing the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, and achieving full breakthrough of the tunnel.
