Reporters learned from the 11th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award ceremony held yesterday in Beijing that five projects including the Shenzhen North Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub Project won the Zhan Tianyou Award, a record high in number and ranking among the top provinces and cities.

It is reported that the China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award is a science and technology award approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and recognized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with the support of five ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. It was first established in 1999 and covers various civil engineering fields such as buildings, bridges, railways, tunnels, rail transit, highways, ports, and municipal works. It is the highest honor award in China's civil engineering community in terms of scientific and technological innovation.

The engineering projects in Shenzhen that won the 11th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award include: the Shenzhen North Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub Project, the venues for the 26th Summer Universiade in Shenzhen (including Shenzhen Bao'an Stadium and Shenzhen Universiade Center), Phase I of the Container Terminal Project in Dachan Bay Port Area of Shenzhen Port, the Shenzhen Metro Line 3 Project, and the Shenzhen Buji Sewage Treatment Plant.
