  Precautions During Excavator Operation

  1. During excavator operation, no one is allowed to get on or off the excavator or pass items to it; do not perform maintenance or repair while operating; do not arbitrarily adjust the engine (governor) or the hydraulic system and electronic control system; pay attention to selecting and creating a reasonable working face, and digging by undermining is strictly prohibited.

  2. When the excavator is unloading, wait until the dump truck has come to a complete stop; when unloading, lower the bucket height as much as possible without colliding with any part of the dump truck; the bucket is prohibited from passing over the cab of the dump truck.

  3. It is prohibited to use the bucket to break solid objects; if large rocks or hard objects are encountered, remove them first before continuing work; it is prohibited to excavate rock of grade 5 or above that has not been blasted.

  4. It is prohibited to arrange the excavator to operate simultaneously in both the upper and lower excavation benches; when the excavator moves within the working face, the ground should first be leveled and obstacles in the path cleared.

  5. It is prohibited to jack up the excavator by fully extending the bucket cylinder. When the bucket has not left the ground, the excavator must not travel sideways or swing.

  6. It is prohibited to use the excavator boom to drag other objects laterally; hydraulic excavators must not excavate by impact methods.

  7. When the excavator is swinging, the swing control lever must not be operated in the opposite direction.

  8. The operator should always pay attention to the operating condition of the excavator; if any abnormality is found, stop immediately for inspection and promptly troubleshoot the fault.

  9. During excavator operation and travel, frequently check whether the hydraulic oil temperature is normal.

  10. When the excavator encounters power lines, intersections, bridges, or culverts during travel, understand the situation before passing, and assign a dedicated spotter when necessary; the distance between the excavator and high-voltage power lines must not be less than 5 m; reverse travel should be avoided as much as possible.

  11. When the excavator is traveling, its boom should be parallel to the undercarriage, the slewing platform should be locked, and the bucket should be about 1 m above the ground. Use a low gear when traveling downhill; coasting in neutral is prohibited.

  12. The excavator travel route should maintain a sufficient distance from slopes, ditches, and foundation pits to ensure safety; when crossing soft ground, use a low gear and travel at a constant speed, and lay down wooden planks, stones, etc. when necessary.
