Due to environmental protection requirements, the government has banned most mountain quarrying and river sand mining, causing prices of sand and gravel raw materials in the construction market to soar. Recently, a new material called "Road Liquid" serves as a soil stabilizer, using stabilized loess to replace cement-stabilized macadam in the construction of new municipal roads.
Recently, a new municipal road is being paved in the Yufa Ecological Tourism Area of Pukou District, Nanjing. However, apart from a large amount of loess, there are no gravel, sand, or other road-building materials at the construction site. This new soil stabilization material, named Road Liquid, permanently solidifies soil through polymer microparticle technology.
"We directly dilute the material and add it to the loess. Generally, 1 cubic meter of loess requires 300ml of Road Liquid, then a small amount of lime and cement is added, and it can be paved and compacted."
Road Liquid technology can be widely applied in many engineering fields such as road base, barren hill revegetation, soil remediation, rail transit base, soft foundation treatment, dust suppression, river regulation, and ecological agriculture. It has passed the high-tech product certification of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
As a soil solidification and improvement material, Road Liquid also has anti-seepage and dust control functions. When combined with construction earthwork and slag, it can build roads without using materials such as gravel and sand and with reduced cement usage.
Traditional road paving generates waste slag, but the new material allows local sourcing, using stabilized loess instead of cement-stabilized macadam. It can use various construction earthworks, slag, and silt as raw materials without using gravel, sand, and other materials. The road can be opened to traffic immediately after paving, requiring no curing.
Currently, this technology has passed the high-tech product certification of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The comprehensive cost can be reduced by 20%, and later maintenance costs by 60%. At the same cost, it is equivalent to 3-5 times the strength of lime-stabilized base.
