　　On August 30, the reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Transport that the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road starts in Lingshan Town, connecting to the Meilan Airport interchange of the G98 Island Ring Expressway, and ends in Yanfeng Town, intersecting with the Haiwen section of the G98 Expressway. The route passes through the three towns of Lingshan, Yunlong and Yanfeng, with the main line totaling 15.03 kilometers.

　　It is understood that the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road passes through the three towns of Lingshan, Yunlong and Yanfeng.
　　The starting point of the main line connects to the airport interchange on the east side of the Nandu River Bridge of the Haikou Ring Expressway (i.e., the Airport Link Line S82), turning south in the form of a ramp, with the starting point set at the beginning of the deceleration lane; the main line totals 15.03 km.
　　Currently, land acquisition for the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road is proceeding in an orderly manner. According to the Meilan District Government of Haikou, the land acquisition work for the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road project entered the acquisition stage recently and is expected to be completed by October 31.

Meilan District will accelerate the construction of the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road project in the Jiangdong New Area and complete it with guaranteed quality and quantity.
　　On January 27, Lin Dong, Director of the Provincial Department of Transport, said in an interview with the reporter that among the key road network projects advanced this year, the Meilan Airport–Yanfeng section of the Haikou Ring Road is a rapid corridor connecting the province's island ring expressway with the Haikou–Wenchang–Qionghai Expressway, and is an important transport artery supporting the integrated development of "Haichengwen." The implementation of the project will further improve the province's road network structure, greatly ease transit traffic pressure in the Meilan Airport area, enhance Haikou's external transport image and promote economic and social development along the route.
