On August 30, it was learned from the Chongqing Urban and Rural Construction Commission that the preliminary design review of the north extension section of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 5 (Yuanbo Center to Yuegang North Road section) was recently completed, laying the foundation for construction to begin within the year.
It is understood that the north extension section of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 5 (Yuanbo Center to Yuegang North Road section) is located in Yubei District and Liangjiang New Area. It starts at Yuanbo Center Station, passes through Ganyue Avenue, Tengfang Avenue, Tongmao Avenue, Chunxuan Avenue, and Yuegang Avenue, and ends at Yuegang North Road Station. The total length is about 8.645 kilometers, with 7 stations in total: Yuegang North Road Station, Yuegang Avenue Station, Chunxuan Avenue Station, Central Park West Station, Lujiagou Station, Ganyue Avenue Station, and Yuhegou Station. It will interchange with the planned Line 14 at Yuegang Avenue Station and with Line 10 at Central Park West Station.
