Beijing, August 26 (Xinhua) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has recently issued the revised Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the CPC (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) and circulated a notice requiring all regions and departments to conscientiously comply with and implement them.

　　The notice pointed out that the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the CPC issued by the CPC Central Committee in October 2015 played an important role in safeguarding the Party Constitution and other intra-Party regulations, enforcing Party discipline, and adhering to strict governance of the Party. The 19th National Congress of the CPC incorporated discipline building into the overall layout of Party building in the new era and enriched and improved the relevant content of discipline building in the Party Constitution. The CPC Central Committee decided to revise and improve the Regulations in accordance with new situations, tasks, and requirements.

　　The notice emphasized that the Regulations fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, take the Party Constitution as the fundamental basis, and codify the theoretical, practical, and institutional innovations in Party discipline building in the form of Party rules and discipline, striving to improve the political nature, contemporary relevance, and targeted nature of discipline building. It strictly enforces political discipline and political rules, takes as its starting point and goal the resolute safeguarding of General Secretary Xi Jinping's core position in the Party Central Committee and the core position of the whole Party, and the resolute safeguarding of the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, and refines and concretizes the requirements of the Party Constitution and intra-Party regulations such as the Several Guidelines on Intra-Party Political Life under the New Situation. It adheres to a problem-oriented approach, tightens the cage in response to prominent problems in Party governance, keeps the system abreast of the times, and makes the ideas and measures for comprehensive and strict governance of the Party more scientific, rigorous, and effective.

　　The notice required that Party committees (Party groups) at all levels firmly establish political consciousness, overall situation consciousness, core consciousness, and alignment consciousness, shoulder the political responsibility for comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, and do a good job in studying, publicizing, and implementing the Regulations. It is necessary to effectively strengthen discipline education, incorporate the study of the Regulations into the learning content of the theoretical study center groups of Party committees (Party groups) and the educational courses of Party schools (schools of administration), and truly transform iron discipline into the daily habits and conscious compliance of Party members and cadres.
