By the shore of Yezhihu Lake, a line of "Phoenix Orange" metro trains slowly pulls into the station, with rows of green trees lining the tracks and workers busy with inspections and repairs in the workshop. On August 23, Wuhan Metro's "most functional" depot was unveiled.
The Yezhihu Depot covers nearly 600 mu and undertakes maintenance tasks for four metro lines, with a complex track network.
According to reports, the Yezhihu Depot not only has the largest network scale but also the most powerful functions: the Line 7 depot and the Line 8 parking lot are co-located here, and Lines 5, 7, and 8 as well as the Zhifang Line share a comprehensive maintenance base for routine inspections, major track overhauls, and bogie overhauls.

It is reported that the Yezhihu Depot is well-equipped, with a domestic equipment rate of nearly 80%, many of whose core devices come from local Wuhan suppliers, and it is equipped with internationally advanced metro rescue vehicles.
