Recently, with the successful completion of external power connection work, the section of the Beijing Subway Line 6 West Extension from Haidian Wuluju Station to Pingguoyuan South Road Station, planned to open within the year, has officially entered the full-line dynamic testing phase, laying the foundation for trial operation by the end of the year.

The Beijing Rail Transit Line 6 West Extension is a practical project for this year and also an extension of Phases I and II of Line 6. The section to open this year is about 7.5 kilometers long and has 4 stations in total, with a transfer to Phase I of Line 6 available at Haidian Wuluju Station.

Once through operation begins, it will effectively improve traffic conditions in the Shougang and Pingguoyuan areas and ease the traffic pressure on Subway Line 1.
