On March 5, Shanghai Jintai's SD25F and SD36F new multifunctional drilling rigs were showcased at the "2018 International Foundations Congress and Equipment Expo" (IFCEE 2018).
The IFCEE congress is renowned as the authoritative professional event in the deep foundations industry. This year, it once again invited world-renowned foundation engineering research institutions such as the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC), the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (GI), and the Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA) to participate, and attracted globally renowned foundation construction equipment manufacturers to exhibit.
The two "F" series rigs exhibited by Shanghai Jintai this time were improved and designed based on the CAT336F and CAT352F chassis. While the CAT engines provide strong power, they also meet the "Euro IV" emission standards for the North American market. In addition to the emission standard upgrade, the most striking feature of the "F" series rigs is the switching function between high and low structures. The high version structure is the standard rotary drilling height and is designed for deep hole operations: the SD25F has a design depth of 50 meters, and the SD36F has a design depth of 70 meters. The low version structure can operate under working conditions with a minimum clearance height of 8.5 meters, and the maximum drilling diameter can reach 3 meters in both versions. The high and low version design adds broader application capabilities to the rotary drilling rigs.
As early as 2016, the first SD25F entered the U.S. market and was recognized by users, and subsequently additional orders were placed and the range expanded to the SD36F model. Both exhibits at this exhibition are products ordered by users.
