The Zhuzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently approved seven highway construction projects in a single batch. It is reported that these projects will commence construction successively according to plan.
The approved projects include the Youxian Jietou to Gaojian Highway Construction Project, the Youxian Wufeng to Anren Highway Construction Project, the Youxian Shiyangtang to Lutian Highway Construction Project, the Youxian Liantang'ao to Luling'ao Highway Project, the S205 Chaling Luling'ao to Yantang Highway Project, the Youxian Jiubujiang Tourist Highway Ring Road Extension Construction Project, and the S205 Liling Cuoduanao to Shanxiandian Highway Project.
The Youxian Wufeng to Anren Highway Construction Project and the Youxian Shiyangtang to Lutian Highway Construction Project are both Class I highways with a design speed of 80 km/h. Projects such as the S205 Chaling Luling'ao to Yantang Highway Project have also attracted considerable attention. Among them, the S205 Chaling Luling'ao to Yantang Highway Project starts at Luling'ao at the boundary between Youxian and Chaling counties, connects with the proposed provincial highway from Liantang'ao to Luling'ao in Youxian, and links with the proposed provincial highway from Helü to Gaohe in Youxian, with a total length of 34.86 km; the S205 Liling Cuoduanao to Shanxiandian Highway (Cuoduanao to Dazhang section) Project starts at Cuoduanao at the boundary between Liling City and Liuyang City and ends at Dazhang, with a total route length of 59.6 km. A responsible person from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission stated, "Once these roads are completed, they will help improve the road network and promote local economic development."
