At 2 PM on the 21st, at the construction site of Phase I of the China (Fuzhou) IoT Industry Incubation Center on Kuiqi East Road, Kuai'an Village, Mawei District, workers were busy dismantling the poured basement formwork. Behind them, an underground space covering about 40,000 square meters had begun to take shape.
Lin Dazhong, project manager of Phase I of the CSCEC Strait IoT Industry Incubation Center, told reporters that Phase I includes 4 high-rise production centers, 1 high-rise supporting apartment, 5 multi-story production centers, and a two-level basement. During the Spring Festival, more than 60 workers and management personnel stayed at the site. Workers worked in teams, tying rebar during the day and excavating earth at night, working day and night. A total of 13,000 cubic meters of earth was excavated and over 100 tons of rebar were tied. "After working overtime before and during the Spring Festival, construction of the second basement level in Zone 1 has basically been completed. On the 23rd, we will remove the support beams, after which we can move on to construction of the first basement level," Lin Dazhong said.
Phase I of the China (Fuzhou) IoT Industry Incubation Center is a provincial key project. Construction officially began in July last year and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The project will build a public service platform for the IoT industry, a technology innovation center, and an industry incubator, promote the application of NB-IoT (Narrowband IoT) technology in various industries, create NB-IoT application demonstration sites, and provide services and technical support for IoT-related enterprises in Mawei District and the entire city.
