Recently, the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Daguan–Yongshan, Zhenxiong–Hezhang, and Yibin–Zhaotong (Phase II) expressway projects were held at Xiaoyakou, Shanggaoqiao Township, Daguan County. The three projects launched for construction this time have a total length of 148.4 kilometers.
To date, the city of Zhaotong has 10 expressways under construction, totaling 702 kilometers, with an estimated investment of 114.6 billion yuan.
Daguan–Yongshan Expressway
The Daguan–Yongshan Expressway has a total length of 63.9 kilometers and an estimated investment of 12.28 billion yuan. It is designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and is being built to the standard of a two-way, four-lane expressway, with an integral subgrade width of 25.5 meters. The route starts at the Shanggaoqiao Interchange in Daguan County on the G85 Yinchuan–Kunming Expressway and ends at the Yunnan-side abutment of the Jinsha River Bridge on the Yongshan branch of the G4216 Chengdu–Lijiang Expressway.
Zhenxiong–Hezhang Expressway
The Zhenxiong–Hezhang Expressway has a total length of 12.2 kilometers and an estimated total investment of 1.8 billion yuan. It is designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and is being built to the standard of a two-way, four-lane expressway, with an integral subgrade width of 24.5 meters. The route starts at the Chenbeitun Interchange in Zhenxiong County on the Yibin–Bijie Expressway and ends at Zhongtun Town, where it connects with the Guizhou section of the project.
Yiliang–Zhaotong Section of the Yibin–Zhaotong Expressway
The Yiliang–Zhaotong Section of the Yibin–Zhaotong Expressway has a total length of 162.8 kilometers and an estimated total investment of 24.06 billion yuan. It is designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and is being built to the standard of a two-way, four-lane expressway, with an integral subgrade width of 24.5 meters. The project starts at Baixia Village, Niujie Town, Yiliang County, where it connects with the Sichuan section of the project, and ends at Beizha Town, Zhaoyang District, where it links up with the G85 Yinchuan–Kunming Expressway.
