The Zhengzhou Municipal Government has issued the Notice on Issuing the 2018 Zhengzhou Key Construction Projects (Zheng Zheng [2018] No. 1), confirming 328 key construction projects for 2018 (bundled into 300), with a total investment exceeding 900 billion yuan.
Zhengzhou's key construction projects are subject to dynamic management. Projects not carried over from the previous year no longer qualify as Zhengzhou key construction projects; projects that progress slowly or are no longer implemented this year will have their key project status revoked in a timely manner, while major projects that can genuinely commence construction will be added to the city's key project list according to procedures.
By category, there are 154 industrial development projects, including the Zhengzhou Base Project (Phase I) of SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Co., Ltd. Zhengzhou Branch, with a total investment of 4.312 billion yuan. Located in the Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, it has a total floor area of 404,300 square meters and mainly involves the construction of production workshops, supporting utility facilities such as comprehensive station buildings, chemical warehouses, oil depots, and waste stations.
The Longzihu Smart Island Project in Zhengdong New District, with a total investment of 12.16 billion yuan and a total floor area of 1.86 million square meters, mainly involves 25 projects including the Zhengzhou Comprehensive Public Employment and Talent Service Market, Jinchao International Building, Hongze Industrial Biopharmaceutical R&D Center, Zhongfa Technology National Enterprise Technology Center, Henan Enterprise Union Building, Yufa Art Exhibition Center, Tsinghua Huashang Henan Science and Education Base, Rongchuang Culture Building, Yuyan Building, Weihua Construction Machinery Research Institute, Zhenglong Longyun International, Yabo Plaza, Freisen High-Tech Research Center, Lifeng International Building, Innovation and Creativity Island Incubator, Dayong Poultry Meat Engineering Technology Research Center, Best Early Childhood Education Center, Yonghe Longzihu Central Plaza, Cultural and Creative Building, Zhengshang Lakeside International, Wanzheng Building, Longyuan Building, New Zealand-Henan Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology R&D Center, Jianye Smart Port, and the Zhengzhou Branch of Wuhan University Science and Technology Park.
The Changxihu Future Center Project, with a total investment of 17.5 billion yuan, is located in Zhongyuan District with a total floor area of 3.5 million square meters, mainly involving the construction of commercial facilities, schools, sports grounds, park green spaces, and cultural facilities (excluding real estate development).
There are 18 innovation-driven projects, including the Gazelle Enterprise Park Project in the Economic and Technological Development Zone with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the Zhengzhou Big Data Industrial Park (Phase I) Project with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, and the bundled Zhengzhou Youth Talent Apartment Project with a total investment of 2.822 billion yuan.
There are 10 infrastructure projects, including the Zhengzhou South Railway Station (including intercity station) Project with a total investment of 9.69 billion yuan and the Xinzheng Airport to Zhengzhou South Station Intercity Railway Project with a total investment of 4.62 billion yuan.
There are 31 new urbanization projects, including the Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 5 Project, Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 3 Phase I Project, Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 4 Project, Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 2 Phase II Project, and Zhengzhou Rail Transit Line 6 Phase II Project.
There are 20 ecological and environmental protection projects, including the Zhengzhou New District Sewage Treatment Plant Project at 3.456 billion yuan, the Zhengzhou Jialu River Comprehensive Treatment Project with a total investment of 4.116 billion yuan, and the Zhengzhou High-Tech Zone Greening Construction Project with a total investment of 1.164 billion yuan. There are 67 livelihood and social undertaking projects, including 28 school projects and 13 hospital projects.
