At around 11 a.m. on January 13, accompanied by a blast, the Hulushan Tunnel of the Logistics Outer Ring Road Project in the Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone officially started tunnel boring, marking that the tunnel works of the Logistics Outer Ring Road have entered a stage of comprehensive and rapid advancement.
The Hulushan Tunnel has a left tube 596 meters long and a right tube 660 meters long, with a maximum buried depth of about 70 meters. It successively passes beneath the Xiaobi Tunnel of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway and the Guidu Expressway. With great construction difficulty, high technical requirements and a high safety risk coefficient, it is one of the key control works of the Logistics Outer Ring Road Project.
According to reports, this tunnel is the only tunnel on the Logistics Outer Ring Road. Because it passes beneath an existing railway line and an expressway, the construction unit specially formulated various construction measures and plans and, in accordance with the principle of “high standards, strict requirements and zero tolerance,” ensured that all procedures meet design and specification requirements and that construction proceeds smoothly.
Since the project started, the construction unit has assigned capable and efficient management personnel and selected professional construction teams and machinery and equipment, laying a solid foundation for ensuring that the project is completed with high quality, safely, efficiently and on schedule. The start of tunnel boring at the Hulushan Tunnel has created favorable conditions for the full rollout of subsequent work.
