At 10:10 on January 10, the Zhongmu housing construction site of the Sixth Company of China Railway 21st Bureau, silent for a month and a half, suddenly came alive with surging vehicles and the sound of firecrackers. As the pile driver roared into operation and concrete mixer trucks arrived one after another, the CFG pile foundation works of the Zhongmu housing project undertaken by the Sixth Company took the lead in construction. All members of the Zhongmu housing project department of the Sixth Company were filled with excitement and deep emotion.
The Sixth Company is responsible for constructing the southern half of Plots B and C of the Zhongmu County floodplain residents' relocation project. Plot B comprises 21 residential buildings, 1 kindergarten, and 1 community supporting facility. The total land area is 60,346.75 m², with a total floor area of approximately 117,148.23 m² (including approximately 29,711.51 m² underground and 87,436.72 m² above ground). The southern half of Plot C comprises 10 residential buildings and 3 standalone commercial buildings. The total land area is 35,570 m², with a total floor area of approximately 55,106 m² (including approximately 11,083 m² underground and 44,023 m² above ground). It is one of the fourth batch of key projects in Zhongmu County in 2017, a century-defining undertaking concerning the safety of the Yellow River, and a livelihood project of Henan Province implementing the national “targeted poverty alleviation” policy for the benefit of the country and the people.
To ensure the normal construction of the CFG pile foundation, honor the owner's milestone schedule targets, and build a good corporate image, all staff of the Zhongmu housing project department, in response to the actual situation of a tight schedule, tight funding, and local dust and haze prevention policy restrictions, took the initiative rather than waiting, planned ahead, and actively coordinated and communicated with local government to secure early approval and early commencement, creating favorable conditions for construction. Under the correct command and meticulous organization of the headquarters and the Sixth Company, all staff worked together, fighting day and night, and construction preparations advanced steadily. Just as the commencement approval was issued and the snow had not yet melted, the project department's surveying team had already begun setting out and positioning points, stepping through thick snow and facing the bitter cold wind. While ensuring construction production, in accordance with the local government's “seven one hundred percent” management concept, they strictly controlled safety and quality, steadily carried out standardized operations, and regulated civilized construction, creating conditions for smoothly achieving the milestone targets and also getting 2018 off to a good start.
