Recently, the reporter learned that 11 projects including Rail Transit Line 5A, Huangjueping river crossing channel, and Baishiyi Tunnel will start construction, and 43 ongoing projects such as the first and second longitudinal expressways will be accelerated, and 14 dead-end roads will be connected. Among them, the Rail Transit Line 5A branch is planned to run from Fuhua Road in Yuzhong District, through Shiqiaopu and Jiulong Peninsula to Lijiatuo area, and then to Tiaodeng in Dadukou.
　　In addition, this year will also focus on the construction of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway, the East Ring Line of the Chongqing Railway Hub, and the Jiangjin section of the Hebi-Jin Expressway; start construction of the Shengquan to Dingshan section of the rail transit; and build the Baisha Yangtze River Bridge. Among them, the Shengquan to Dingshan section of the rail transit and the Baisha Yangtze River Bridge project will add two new Yangtze River bridges to Chongqing.
　　It is understood that the Shengquan to Dingshan section of the rail transit has a total length of 4.6 kilometers, starting from Shengquansi Station of the Jiangjin section of the under-construction Rail Transit Line 5, and a Jijiang river-crossing bridge will be set up downstream of the Jijiang Yangtze River Bridge to enter the Jijiang Peninsula. Two stations, Jijiang Station (elevated station) and Dingshan Station (underground station), will be set up on the Jijiang Peninsula. The Jijiang rail-only bridge is designed with a length of 815 meters, a main span of 610 meters, and a width of 27 meters, and the bridge deck will be laid with rail-only tracks for rail transit.
　　The Baisha Yangtze River Bridge is a key river crossing channel planned for new construction in the State Council's "Yangtze River Economic Belt Comprehensive Three-Dimensional Transportation Corridor Plan (2014-2020)". The proposed bridge site connects to Baisha Industrial Park in the south and Baisha Freight Station of the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway in the north. It is one of the river crossing channels of the transportation network connection line in the western Chongqing area and an important river crossing channel connecting the Jinbei and Jinxi areas of Jiangjin District.
　　It is understood that the Baisha Yangtze River Bridge and its connecting line project has a total route length of 3540 meters, and the bridge has a total length of 1280 meters (including a main bridge of 590 meters and an approach bridge of 690 meters), a total bridge width of 34 meters, two-way 6 lanes, and a total construction investment of 1.56 billion yuan. The connections at both ends of the bridge will be constructed in three phases: near, medium, and long term. The traffic mode is municipal roads, and the bridge type is a suspension bridge.
