On January 9, the Provincial Transportation Work Symposium was held in Zhengzhou. It is understood that in 2018, Henan Province will coordinate the advancement of the province's integrated transportation network and hub facility construction, with a planned annual investment of approximately 88 billion yuan in transportation infrastructure construction. Among these, for civil aviation projects, the third phase of the Zhengzhou Airport project will be fully launched, and the construction of the Anyang Yudongbei Airport will be accelerated; for railway projects, track-laying for the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou and Zhengzhou-Fuyang high-speed railways will be basically completed, construction of the Zhengzhou-Jinan and Taiyuan-Jiaozuo railways will be fully advanced, and construction of the Zhengzhou South Station, Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou high-speed railway, and the Menghua and Sanyang railways will be accelerated; construction of 1,000 kilometers of expressways will begin, and by the end of the year the total mileage of expressways open to traffic in the province will reach 6,600 kilometers. Efforts will be made to effectively carry out the construction of "Four Good Rural Roads" and improve the construction, management, maintenance, and operation levels of rural roads.
