The Beijing-Xiong'an Expressway (including branch lines) project has been included in the 13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Hebei Province's Comprehensive Transportation System.
Project Overview
The main line of this project starts at the Beijing-Hebei boundary at Dongdaxingzhuang Village, Zhuozhou City, connects with the Beijing section of the Beijing-Xiong'an Expressway, and ends at the intersection of the East Ring Road of Rongcheng County and the existing Rongwu Expressway, connecting with the existing Rongwu Expressway. The total length of the route is approximately 70 km. It is proposed to be constructed as a two-way, eight-lane expressway with a design speed of 120 km/h, a subgrade width of 49 m, and a vehicle load class of Highway-I. The estimated total investment is approximately 15.4 billion yuan.
The route alignment of the New Airport Branch Line of this project: The route starts at the Beijing-Hebei boundary (Yongding River), connects seamlessly with the Beijing section, and ends at the Hebei-Beijing provincial boundary. The total length of the route is approximately 37 km. East of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway (toward Beijing), it is constructed as a two-way, eight-lane expressway with a subgrade width of 42 m; west of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway (toward Zhuozhou), it is constructed as a two-way, six-lane expressway with a subgrade width of 33.5 m. The design speed is 120 km/h for both sections. The vehicle load class is Highway-I. The estimated total investment is approximately 11.8 billion yuan.
