On the morning of December 20, the 128-meter continuous girder of the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway spanning the Jinan-Guangzhou Expressway was fully closed, marking the smooth completion of the railway's subgrade works.

The 128-meter continuous girder spanning the Jinan-Guangzhou Expressway is located in Licheng District, Jinan, and was designed with 41 segments, constructed using the cantilever casting method with form travelers. Since construction began on April 1, 2016, the contractor, China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd., has fully implemented standardized management, widely applied information technology, and strengthened inspection and supervision of techniques and construction methods, accelerating construction progress while ensuring safety and quality, thereby providing an important guarantee for the on-schedule completion of the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway.

The Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway starts from Jinan East Station and ends at Hongdao Station in the Qingdao railway hub, with a total length of 307.9 kilometers. It is an important component of the Qingdao-Taiyuan passenger transport corridor. Once the line is completed and opened to traffic, the travel time from Jinan to Qingdao will be shortened from 2.5 hours to 1 hour.
