On December 6, the Suining Expressway Coordination Office reported that the bidding agency selection for survey and design of the Deyang Zhongjiang to Suining Expressway project has been officially publicly posted online, marking the start of Suining's "1 Ring 9 Lines" expressway network construction!
The Suining-Deyang Expressway is located within the "Yucheng-Nanchong (Suining) Development Belt and Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan Development Belt" of the Chengdu urban agglomeration and the dual-core five-belt area of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone. In November 2014, the expressway project was approved by the provincial government and incorporated into the "Sichuan Province Expressway Network Plan (2014-2030)". It is one of the important connecting lines in Sichuan Province's planned "16.8.8" network, linking three national expressways: the Beijing-Kunming (G5), Shanghai-Chengdu (G42), and Chengdu-Chongqing Ring Line (G93).
It is reported that the expressway starts at Yuxing Town, Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, and ends at Huima Town, Daying County, with a total route length of 83.53 km. The entire line includes 51 extra-large and large/medium bridges totaling 13,220 linear meters, 15 tunnels totaling 6,150 linear meters, and 2 interchange hubs. The subgrade width is 26 meters, the design speed is 100 km/h, and the total budgeted investment is 8,373.03 million yuan. Construction is expected to start in August 2018.
