On the 8th, the 2017 National Survey and Design Industry Innovation and Excellence Conference was held in Fuzhou. Academicians and renowned masters were invited to deliver keynote reports. Vice Governor Hong Jiexu attended to listen to the academicians' lectures and visited the exhibition of outstanding architectural design works.
He Jingtang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Chang Qing, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote reports on architectural design titled "Cultural Confidence and Architectural Innovation" and "Inheritance and Re-presentation Based on Prototypes," respectively.
As an important part of the conference, the National Outstanding Architectural Design Exhibition and Exchange Meeting also opened on the 8th at the Fuzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, showcasing first-prize works in the architectural engineering category of the 2017 National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Industry Awards and first-prize works from Fujian Province. The exhibition runs from December 8 to 22 and is open to the public free of charge.
At the conference, the China Architectural Design Industry Award ceremony was held. The National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design Industry Award, known as the "Oscar" of China's engineering survey and design industry, is held every two years. Going forward, the award ceremony will be permanently held in Fuzhou, and an exhibition venue will be established in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys area to display first-prize works in the architectural engineering category of the award on a long-term basis.
