The official website of the Beijing Daxing District Government recently published the Environmental Impact Report for the East-West Extension Project of the New Airport North Line Expressway. The report shows that the east-west extension of the New Airport North Line Expressway is planned to start construction before the end of the year and be completed and opened to traffic in July 2019.

According to the plan, the New Airport North Line Expressway starts from Zhuozhou in the west and ends at Langfang in the east, meeting the access needs of Shijiazhuang, Baoding and Daxing on the west side and Tianjin, Cangzhou, Tangshan and other places on the east side for entering the new airport.

The east-west extension project of the New Airport North Line Expressway has a total length of 11.3 kilometers. Among them, the west extension project starts from the Jingkai Expressway in the east, crosses over the Yongxing River westward, turns southwest after reaching Luxi Road, passes south of Shifa Village in Daxing District, and then continuously crosses over the Yongding River Irrigation Canal, the Yongding River Left Embankment Road and the Yongding River, reaching the Beijing-Hebei boundary at the endpoint and connecting with the Hebei section of the road. The road length is about 8.4 kilometers. The east extension project starts from the Jingtai Expressway in the west, runs eastward between Xiaoliugezhuang Village and Sunjiaying Village in Daxing District, reaches the Beijing-Hebei boundary at the endpoint and connects with the Hebei section of the road. The road length is about 2.9 kilometers. The east-west extension of the New Airport North Line Expressway is planned as an expressway, with a red line width of 100 meters, eight lanes in both directions, and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

The east-west extension of the New Airport North Line Expressway is an east-west extension of Phase I of the New Airport North Line project. It intersects with the Jingkai Expressway, Jingtai Expressway, planned Luxi Road, Zuodi Road and the planned southern extension of Luqiu Road, and plans to set up interchange interchanges at Jingtai and Jingkai roads.
