You all work hard with the autumn harvest and wheat planting.” On October 2, at the construction site of the G234 Jiaozuo-Xingyang Yellow River Bridge and Connecting Line Project, construction worker Xu Fuxue took a break to call his family.
Xu Fuxue is from Anyang and is responsible for bridge prefabrication on the project. To ensure quality and quantity completion of the project, he and his co-workers stayed on the front line of bridge construction during the “double festivals”.
Standing at the construction site and looking into the distance, a bustling scene of construction is in full swing. Currently, the project has shifted from substructure construction to superstructure construction, and the overall project construction has entered the “fast lane”.
It is understood that the G234 Jiaozuo-Xingyang Yellow River Bridge and Connecting Line Project is a key transportation infrastructure construction project in the province and a dual PPP pilot project determined by the Ministry of Transport and the provincial government. The project starts from the south side of the Jiaozuo South Interchange connecting the former Jiaozuo Expressway and Provincial Road S234, connects to Yingbin Road in Jiaozuo urban area to the north, and connects to the former Jiaozuo Expressway through the Jiaozuo South Interchange. The route uses Provincial Road S234 for southward reconstruction, passes through Mangling east of Chigou on the south bank of the Yellow River, enters Xingyang City territory in Zhengzhou, with a total length of 26.4 kilometers.
Liu Chao from the Engineering Department of Henan Jiaozheng Yellow River Bridge Development Co., Ltd. introduced that since the project started on September 27 last year, the builders have worked day and night, striving for excellence in quality, meticulous and rigorous in management, striving to create a boutique project and establish a good image. At present, the project has completed an accumulated investment of more than 1.3 billion yuan, accounting for 36.1% of the total investment.
Jiaozuo and Zhengzhou are separated by a river, possessing the foundations and convenient conditions in transportation, space, and industry for regional economic cooperation and urban integration development. The G234 Jiaozuo-Xingyang Yellow River Bridge and Connecting Line Project will build a development “grand channel” for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo integration.
“As an important channel connecting Jiaozuo and western Zhengzhou, the project will directly open up the southern gateway of Jiaozuo after completion, further improve the transportation network structure, accelerate Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo integration and docking, and boost the accelerated economic and social development of the two places, especially Jiaozuo,” said Qiu Jiachun, general manager of Henan Jiaozheng Yellow River Bridge Development Co., Ltd.
