This conference will be held from October 18 to 21, 2017 in Hefei, Anhui. 　　Hefei is the capital of Anhui Province, also known as Luzhou and Luyang. With a history of more than 2,000 years, it has long been known as "the former site of the Three Kingdoms and the hometown of Bao Zheng." From the Sui Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Hefei was always the seat of Luzhou Prefecture, hence it was also called "Luzhou" and also known as "Luyang." The area has many scenic spots and historical sites, such as the Bao Gong Temple, the former residence of Li Hongzhang, and the relics of the King of Wu. In addition, it produced a group of historical figures such as Zhou Yu, Bao Zheng, and Li Hongzhang. 　　The 13th National Pile Foundation Engineering Academic Conference is hosted by the Pile Foundation Academic Committee of the Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society and the Foundation Engineering Professional Committee of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization, and organized by Hefei University of Technology, Anhui Institute of Building Research & Design, and the magazine "Foundation Engineering," with co-organization by multiple units.
