The Qingyang Tunnel is located at the junction of Zhangqiu District in Jinan and Zouping County in Binzhou, with a total length of 10.1 kilometers. It is a single-tube, double-track high-speed railway tunnel constructed by China Railway Tunnel Group. Construction began in August 2015. Part of the tunnel passes through shallow-buried geology and crosses 2 major fault zones and 12 faults, posing considerable construction safety risks. During project construction, the Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway Company fully implemented standardized management and safety risk management, strengthened inspection and supervision of processes, construction methods, equipment, and work team leaders. The construction unit carried out advanced geological forecasting and strictly implemented measures such as excavation methods, excavation footage, and support construction. Under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, the schedule target was achieved ahead of time. After 639 days and nights of hard work, the tunnel was finally holed through smoothly.
